When to drink water?
Drinking water through out the day is important, but when you drink can also make a difference.

1 After waking up
Start the day by sipping on a glass of water.
During the night we get dehydrated, especially if you have night sweats. We have gone several hours with out fluids, so we need to top them up. Dehydration makes us cranky. And groggy. And less alert. Drinking water first thing rehydrates the brain along with the rest of the body.
Drinking 1st thing is thought to jump start your metabolism and flush out toxins.
It can also improve your digestion. A warm glass of water first thing in the morning can help stimulate the intestines, promoting better digestion and, yes, better elimination (pooing).
Starting off the day with water not only increases your fluid intake, it also can help you get into a hydration routine (especially if you frequently forget to drink it).
2 Before Meals
Drinking about 30 mins before a meal can aid digestion, and help control appetite
3 During meals
Sipping during meals aids swallowing and digestion. But avoid drinking too much as it can dilute stomach acids necessary for digestion.
4 After meals
A glass of water after meals can help with digestion and nutrient absorption
5 Before and after Exercise
Drink water before, during and after exercising to stay physically hydrated, alert and to replace fluids lost through sweat.
6 Before Bed
A small amount of water before bedtime can help keep you hydrated overnight but don’t over do it or you will be waking to use the toilet.
