Welcome to July and Summer!
Welcome to July. Hope you have enjoyed the sunny weather. Read below for tips on how to survive the hot weather! https://www.fitforyourlife.co.uk/post/how-to-stay-cool-in-hot-weather
I have been trying to increase my training ready for climbing 4000m peaks in the Swiss Alps. However I keep being hampered by injuries - hip, knee and blisters! So here are some tips for injuries
RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression and elevation
REST - this means stop training!
ICE - apply ice packs regularly to reduce inflamation and pain
COMPRESSION - use a tubigrip or support bandage
ELEVATION - elevate limb. Put your feet up and have a cup of tea!
Return slowly back to exercise. Maybe try swimming or walking in water to begin with. Reduce the intensity of training - use lighter weights. Seek medical advice if no improvement.
Fruit Pudding
Lightly cook some Gooseberries in a little water, place in the bottom of a ramakin
Mix some sour cream and single cream and pour on top of Gooseberries.
Add a layer of freshly picked raspberries, then add another layer of cream mix.
Sprinkle some demerara sugar on top and using a blow torch, turn sugar into a crisp brown topping
Sprinkle some redcurrents on top and enjoy!
Recipe created from fruit picked from my garden.
